Hey everyone! The NG committee would like to welcome you guys to the National Gathering 2008 website! As I'm sure ya'll already know, the 2008 National Gathering will be held in Memphis, Tennessee!! We are all very excited about this! It has been said already... NG08 will add an extra day to the event. This year, the event will begin on Tuesday and go through until Sunday morning. But.. No one has bothered asking why.
So... Here it is. We're adding a NEW event to the program!
First, our photographer, Keith (Mobo) Upton will be taking photos at various shoots on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. To find out more about Keith, read up on his bio. To check out his portfolio for a taste of what to expect, visit PerformanceImagery.com!
Second... I've heard so many of you talk about wanting to do this, but it just isn't real practical to travel to a facility and pay for the travel, hotel, etc. and pay for the experience, so... We're adding a DRIVING SCHOOL for Wednesday!! That's right - Race On will host a driving school on Wednesday, June 18th for any of you interested in learning to drive your cars better.
We've also worked out a special price for this event. The event registration will begin at 7:15am at the track. The final run is done at 5:25pm. Lunch is included. Total cost of the deal? $300. This will include all classroom sessions and track time for the day. We're limited to only 25 spots for this event, so make sure you're watching when registration begins.

Chapter Challenge & Best All Around 3/S Award
Chapter Challenge:
When registering for NG08, make sure you include your local chapter where you are asked. If your local chapter is not listed, email Alan92RTTT to have your chapter added. The Chapter Challenge is a National Gathering tradition that awards the most members of a chapter a trophy and bragging rights. With Alan's formula to weigh heavy on the groups that travel the furthest and weigh light on the chapters that have a short drive, he's devised a fair formula at determining the winner. So, don't forget!!
Best All Around 3/S:
The Best All Around 3/S Award is an honor designed to commend one exceptional 3/S, and it's driver, for superior performance is every event; Drags, AutoCross, Road Course, and Car Show. In order to qualify, you must participate in every event. Winning is not required, but will be a determining factor when multiple contestants are being decided between.
NG08 Photoshoots/Photographer
Keith (Mobo) Upton will be taking photos at various shoots on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. Keith owns and runs PerformanceImagery.com. As many of you guys have seen on the forums, his photos are amazing and his creative edge stands out above the rest. His work has been recognized in magazines such as Modified Magazine, Modified Luxery and Exotics, and Modified Mustangs. I have linked a few samples of his photos here, but more reside on his website. So, please take a chance to look over his work! We are all very excited about this opportunity!
